Pierre GUYOMARC’H

 

 

Dr. Guyomarc’h graduated from the University of Bordeaux in France (MSc 2008, PhD 2011) in the field of archaeology and biological anthropology. His research focuses on forensic anthropology, medical imaging, and methods of identification based on skeletal human remains. Pierre worked with the Central Identification Laboratory of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA; formerly JPAC) in the USA in 2012-2013 and participated in the identification of US soldiers unaccounted for, while developing innovative identification methods. From 2014, he continued his work on humanitarian forensic action through his work for the ICRC, deploying in a range of countries (including Ukraine, Lebanon, Georgia) before joining the ICRC headquarters in Geneva in 2017 where he supports the management of the ICRC forensic staff in the field.
